the days of frantically looking through a bunch of video codec just to watch some pr0n educational tutorial is long gone. since CCCP just released a new version, i shall bestow upon thee the guide for setting up the best combination of video/audio playback/decoder as of this date. if you're not doing this already, well.. here's your chance for redemption.

1. download Combined Community Codec Pack

2. "obtain" a copy of the latest CoreAVC decoder

3. uninstall ALL video codec you have installed previously

4. restart computer
重起电脑
5. run the CCCP file you just downloaded to install it
安装CCCP
6. extract and install CoreAVC, uncheck "Haali Media Splitter" during install
解压安装CoreAVC不要钩Haali Media Splitter
7. register CoreAVC with info provided in EDGE folder
用EDGE文件夹里的注册器注册CoreAVC
8. go to Start menu>All Programs>CCCP>Settings, uncheck H.264/AVC
在开始菜单里去CCCP运行Settings让H.264/AVC那盒子里不要有钩
9. ...

now you can play stuff with either Media Player Classic or Zoom Player. the most noticeable benefit of following what i wrote here? ~30% improvement in H.264 decoding (for pretty much all the fansub anime and a lot of movies nowadays) speed and way better multi-processor utilization. although VLC is still the best standalone player, but its subtitle support, deblocking and decoding speed is nowhere as good.
用这个方法设置的话不光是整齐空间小,最明显的是播放H.264方式压缩的东西时一般可以加快30%左右
