Wishes from Afar

as some of you may know, i got into a scanlation group (fan-sub for manga if you will) a while back as chinese>english translator. even though i was probably the biggest slacker they've seen and never really talked with the group members.. on 1/26, they put this bright pink brithday card in two of their manga releases for me:



a card from complete strangers to this 'ttsky' person they've never met, talked to or even know much about... but somehow,

from a full facebook wall of copypasta HappyBirthday and generic ascii smile to chinese dinners and gift cards...from a dorm full of tough dudes who agreed to stay away from the girly gifting circle jerking to the father that gives ipod to the deaf on xmas...

i believe this is probably more thoughtful and personal than any greeting i've ever received...
